A new lease of life for the museum: renovation, new labels and improved accessibility

In 2023, the museum took a major step forward in its development with a major renovation operation. This transformation has led to a complete overhaul of its brand identity and a reorganisation of the visit route, designed to enhance the value of the collections and improve the visitor experience.

This ambitious project was made possible thanks to the financial support of the Nouvelle-Aquitaine Region and the European Union, illustrating their commitment to culture and inclusion.

In this dynamic, the museum has also obtained several recognition labels, including the prestigious label Living Heritage Company (EPV), as well as the label Tourism & Handicap. These distinctions reflect both the quality of the know-how implemented and the stated desire to open the museum to a wider and diverse audience.

Thanks to these developments, the museum is firmly part of a contemporary, inclusive and forward-looking approach.
